The Nursery is open term-time Monday to Friday 8:55am to 2:55pm.
We offer 3 sessions:
8:55am - 12pm
8:55am - 1pm
8:55am - 2:55pm

Nursery Tours
You can arrange this with a member of our management team. We’d be happy to arrange a stay and play session for you and your child
Prices
£9 per hour
As much notice as possible is requested when your child is leaving us, but at least half a term is required

Autumn Term –
Monday 8th September – Wednesday 17th December 2025
Half term: Friday 24th October to Monday 3rd November 2025.
Christmas Holiday: Thursday 18th December 2025 to Friday 2nd January 2026.
Spring Term –
Monday 5th January 2025 – Friday 27th March 2026
Half term: Monday 16th February to Friday 20th February 2026.
Easter holiday: Monday 30th March to Friday 10th April 2026
Summer Term –
Monday 13th April – Friday 17th July 2026
Bank Holiday: Monday 4th May 2026.
Half term: Monday 25th May (Bank Holiday) to Friday 29th May 2026
Our Aims and Objectives
We aim to meet the social, educational and physical needs of each child in our care in a manner appropriate to their stage of development. On starting at The Rainbow, each child will be designated key people, who will have special responsibility for them.
We follow the guidelines as laid down in the documentation relating to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The EYFS sets the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five years. Our children’s learning journey is shared via Tapestry. Parents are encouraged to add their own photos/videos and comments. We carry out Two Year Old Progress Checks, in consultation with parents.
We carry out Parent Consultation Meetings/Telephone calls. Parents are also encouraged to visit the setting to see their child in situ at a mutually convenient time. The staff are also available at the beginning and end of each session to discuss matters with parents.
We also send out monthly newsletters, updates on our Facebook page and weekly updates on tapestry.
