Funding

Your child may be eligible for Tax-Free Childcare. This is a government initiative  allowing  parents to put money into an online account to pay for the cost of childcare. The government will contribute 20% of the total.

Three and four year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free universal care and education for 38 weeks of the year. To be eligible, a child has to be three years old before the 1st of January for the Spring Term, 1st of April for the Summer Term and 1st of September for the Autumn Term.

For children over three years old, providing certain criteria are met, children may also be eligible for an extended entitlement of 15 hours of funding per week.

If your child is three or four and receiving free childcare, The Nursery may be able to get extra money from the government to spend on supporting your child’s learning and development. This is called Pupil Premium.

There is funding for some 2 year olds.

In order to provide flexibility for parents in choosing when to take their entitlement, the nursery  offers the following options:

Option 1 – 9am to 12 noon, Monday to Friday

Option 2 – 9am to 1:30pm Monday to Friday (please provide a packed lunch)

Option 3 – 9am – 3pm Monday to Friday (over 3’s only - please provide a packed lunch)

When choosing you can have Option 1, Option 2, Option 3 or a combination of all during the week. However, once you have chosen your times they will remain set for the term.
